Investigations conducted by Chinese and German technical experts show that the mainframe and parts of the carriage damaged by the fire were，"basically in good condition," according to a spokesman with the Shanghai Maglev Transportation Development Company.

翻譯“車(chē)載蓄電池”，其難點(diǎn)在于“車(chē)載”，報(bào)道中的onboard（storage battery）恰到好處地表達(dá)了“車(chē)載”的含義。Board常用來(lái)指“搭乘交通工具”，如We went on board the ship.（我們登上了輪船）；He boarded the bus.（他上了公共汽車(chē)）。相應(yīng)的，onboard則用來(lái)形容“在車(chē)上，隨車(chē)攜帶的”。
