Eyes are one of the most important organs of our body, we need eyes from the moment we open our eyes in the morning to the moment we shut eye at night. But we do not take enough care of our eyes as we take care of our other body parts such as hairs, skin and nails. Most of the time people neglected there eyes. Our vision is one of wonderful gifts that god give us and most of us take it for granted.
Here are some easy to do exercises for eyes that you can do in your any free time for 10 to 20 minutes. These exercises make eyes healthy and help to reduce vision problems.
Concentrate on a point:
Make a small dark point on a paper and hold it up in line with your nose, at an arm's length. Focus on the point and slowly bring the paper towards your nose, stopping about 5″ away. If the point start blurring, stop and refocus. Then take the paper back slowly. Do this 5 to 8 times and then look at a distant object (10-12 feet away) for 10 seconds.
This exercise strengthens the convergence ability of the eye muscles, thus making it easy for you to work at a computer and read for long periods
Eyeball rotations:
Rotate your eyeballs clockwise through 360° and then counterclockwise too. Do this for about 5 to 8 times
This exercise relaxes the eyes by easing muscular tension (quite similar to body stretches)
Palm warming:
Rub your palms together for a few seconds till they feel warm. Cover your closed eyes with your warm palms. Repeat 2-3 times. Then, close your eyes and massage over the lids with circular finger movements, for 2 minutes.
