中國警告美國莫將貿(mào)易爭端政治化 (China Warns US Against Politicizing Trade Disputes)

中國警告美國不要將貿(mào)易糾紛政治化。中國商務部發(fā)言人王新培星期三對記者說，美方任何通過政治途徑解決貿(mào)易糾紛的努力都可能損害兩國的經(jīng)濟關系。

華盛頓對中國對美國近2330億美元的貿(mào)易順差感到憂慮。一些美國議員正準備提出議案，如果美國確認北京在操縱其貨幣，那么就對進口的中國產(chǎn)品征加更高關稅。美國議員說，中國人為壓低人民幣幣值，使其出口商品在海外更加便宜。

兩國上星期在華盛頓舉行的高級別會談沒有能夠緩解雙方有爭議的貿(mào)易問題。

China is warning the United States against politicizing trade disputes. Commerce Ministry spokesman Wang Xinpei told reporters Wednesday that any U.S. efforts to pursue trade disputes through political avenues could hurt the countries' economic relations.

Washington is concerned about China's nearly 233 billion-dollar trade surplus with the U.S.

Some U.S. lawmakers are working on legislation that would impose higher tariffs on Chinese goods if the U.S. determines Beijing is manipulating its currency, the yuan. The lawmakers say China undervalues the yuan, making its exports cheaper overseas.
